ABC - The Look Of Love

Pop perfection! That's the best way to properly describe ABC's 1982 single "The Look Of Love". Trevor Horn's brilliant production sounds as fresh today as it did 31 years ago, and Martin Fry still sounds convincing in his search for love with a vocal performance to match anything I can think of. He simply sings his socks off. Every production detail is hands down perfect, and the sweeping string arrangement has probably never been bettered in a pop song. This is, in short, as good as pop music gets.
