Released as their debut single in 2010, American pop trio Foster The People enjoyed huge success with "Pumped Up Kicks" the following year. No wonder as it's one hell of a catchy song, a feelgood-sounding song despite the dark lyrics about gun violence amongst American youth. The song actually came about almost by accident as writer and frontman of the group, Mark Foster, debated staying in the studio to write and record some stuff against going to the beach on what evidently was a beautiful day. Good thing he stayed in the studio then.
