Sector 27 - Not Ready

After Tom Robinson Band split up in 1979, Robinson formed his new band, Sector 27. The band marked a new musical direction for Robinson, and "Not Ready" was their 1980 debut single, coupled with the equally good "Can't Keep Away". It's got a typical post-punk feel and was produced by Steve Lillywhite who also produced acts like U2, The Chameleons, Peter Gabriel, Toyah, Siouxsie & The Banshees and XTC in the late 70s/early 80s. Sector 27 only released one album, but the band soldiered on for a time without Robinson.
