Dave Alvin - From A Kitchen Table

Ex-Blasters guitar player Dave Alvin just released his eleventh solo album Eleven Eleven which is a marvelous record. This song however is not from the new album, bur from the 1998 album Blackjack David. "From A Kitchen Table" is a sad and beautiful ballad where the singer writes a letter "from his kitchen table" hoping the letter finds his old sweetheart who moved away years ago, "but until then I'll just keep it with me". It's a song to make grown men weep.
