The Byrds - So You Want To Be A Rock 'N' Roll Star

Happy birthday to Roger McGuinn who's 69 today. The former frontman of The Byrds co-wrote the classic "So You Want To Be A Rock 'N' Roll Star" with Chris Hillman, and one of the song's main features is of course McGuinn's trademark Rickenbacker sound along with Hillman's hypnotic bassline. The song is actually a comment on the creation of the prefabricated TV group The Monkees, which was groundbreaking at the time, something that shouldn't or couldn't happen. Tell that to kids today!
