Joe Dassin - Et si tu n'existais pas

The American-born singer/songwriter Joe Dassin (full name Joseph Ira Dassin) was best known in France for his French language songs like "Les Champs-Élysées" and "Et si tu n'existais pas". The latter is my favourite Dassin song, a really beautiful ballad that was a hit across Europe in 1975. Dassin recorded in several languages actually. Apart from French he sang songs in German, English, Italian, Spanish and Greek. He would have been 73 years old today, but unfortunately died in 1980.
