In a recent poll 100 Norwegian musicians voted for their favourite Norwegian records, and of these, the self-titled 1980 EP by punk band Kjøtt (Meat) claimed an impressive fourth place among the 100 that made the list. It's only seven tracks long, clocking in at around 18 minutes, but it was hugely influential - and very, very good. "Jeg vil bli som Jesus" (I want to be like Jesus) is by far the longest track on it at three and a half minutes and is the closing song, written by one of the band's two songwriters, drummer Michael Krohn who went on to front the successful outfit Raga Rockers.
