Happy birthday to Suzanne Vega who turns 52 today. "The Queen And The Soldier" is a song from her eponymous debut album (1985) about a soldier who lays down his weapons and asks his queen why she makes them fight. I think it's one of her best songs, a beautiful and very sad ballad.
