Transvision Vamp - I Want Your Love

In 1988 Transvision Vamp singer Wendy James was oozing sex, "I Want Your Love" became a huge hit, the album Pop Art (their debut) sold pretty good, and then... they followed it with an even more successful album, Velveteen. Still, no-one remembers that, even though it supplied their biggest hit, "Baby I Don't Care". What happened next? Not much to tell the truth... None other than Elvis Costello wrote an entire solo album for Wendy James, Now Ain't The Time For Your Tears in 1993, and it sold poorly to say the least. Poof, no more fun, and it's a bit strange considering the quality of this glam rock extravaganza. "I Want Your Love" is simply a fantastic pop single, so at least we have this to remember them by.
