I will only say this before quoting The Guardian's text: This song and this video is fantastic and Ane Brun is a talent of unfulfilled promise. I really, really look forward to following her career further on. Now, here's the deal about this song, according to the British newspaper:
Relatively unknown outside of her native Scandinavia (she was born in Norway and now lives in Sweden), Ane Brun's career has seen her work with the likes of Ron Sexsmith and Nico Muhly, tour and sing backing vocals with Peter Gabriel and organise a climate change awareness gig featuring Benny Andersson from ABBA. Do You Remember is the first single to be taken from her forthcoming fifth album, It All Starts With One, and it's a beguiling concoction of almost tribal drumming, feather-light percussion and Brun's captivating vocals. In the background the soft coos are supplied by Swedish folk darlings First Aid Kit, augmenting Brun's attempt to remember the better moments in a relationship turned sour. The video – a Guardian exclusive – is the first chapter taken from a short film entitled "ONE" and directed by Brun's partner, Magnus Renfors.
