A mere six months after the release of Director's Cut, Kate Bush's album of reinterpretations of songs from her two albums The Sensual World (1989) and The Red Shoes (1993), she will release a brand new album. 50 Words For Snow is the title of the November 21 release, to feature seven songs spanning an impressive 65 minutes. It's probably not a concept album about eskimoes, but rather one album about winter, "set against a background of falling snow", and featuring these tracks:
"Snowflake"
"Lake Tahoe"
"Misty"
"Wildman"
"Snowed In At Wheeler Street"
"50 Words For Snow"
"Among Angels"
I am, to put it mildy, ecstatic about these news. It will be her first album of new material since 2005's incredible album Aerial, and to judge both from that and the Director's Cut album, Kate Bush is in top form these days. This is exciting as all hell.
