Monty - Paraply

Now here's something really special. Monty is the alias of one David Pagmar, a very talented Swede who was a surprise guest performer in my brother's wedding this Saturday. My brother and his wife had fallen in love with David's music after a chance encounter with this particular song and invited him to come play at their party. To their surprise he actually said yes.

"Paraply" is a Swedish version of the Rihanna hit "Umbrella", and David told me it was a very proud moment when the writers Jay-Z, The Drake and Tricky gave their unianimous approval and let him release the song as a single. Just listen for yourself to this gentle piano-led version of the song, and most of all, pay attention to David Pagmar's incredible voice, full of emotion and vulnerability. I became an instant fan, and I really hope you'll like this too. And by the way, he writes wonderful songs himself.
