Norwegian singer/songwriter Sondre Lerche has made a name for himself internationally, for good reason. He's a very gifted tunesmith, drawing on influences from some very good songwriters but also being his own man. On "Days That Are Over", one of the stand-out tracks from his second album, the 2004 release Two Way Monologue, he's definitely inspired by the songwriting tradition of Gerry Goffin and Carole King, not to mention Burt Bacharach, and it remains one of his best songs. Good video as well.
