New Zealand singer/songwriter Shona Laing received some well-deserved international attention for her 1986 single "(Glad I'm) Not A Kennedy", a fabulous pop song about the perils of fame in general, and specifically about the perils of being a Kennedy. The song, taken from her album South, features a few audio clips from John F. Kennedy and the video is filled with clips of him, being president of the United States and as a family man, interspersed with clips showing Laing singing her song. And today, fittingly, it's exactly 50 years since JFK's famous squeeze, actress Marilyn Monroe, was found dead under dubious circumstances.
