"Moon Over Bourbon Street" is one of Sting's best moments as a solo performer, an incredible song, parts jazz, parts classical music and of course parts pop, with its intoxicating melody. It's from his debut solo album, 1985's The Dream Of Blue Turtles, and was the fifth and final single to be released from it, in 1986. Apparently, it's inspired by Anne Rice's novel Interview With The Vampire, later to be filmed with Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt.
