Bob Dylan - Thunder On The Mountain
The latter part of Bob Dylan's career has been exceptional, and to me he reached a new peak in 2006 with his Modern Times album, the best collection of songs he'd made in a long time, although the melodies were mostly based on older, American songs. The arrangements were exciting and Dylan even sang surprisingly well, as he also did on its predecessor Love And Theft. The opening track was the massive blues stomper "Thunder On The Mountain" where, seemingly out of the blue, an entire verse is about R&B singer Alicia Keys. In response to this Dylan said in an interview with Rolling Stone, "there's nothing about her I don't like".
