Prince wrote and recorded "I Feel For You" for his 1979 self-titled album, but it was with Chaka Khan's 1984 recording that the song finally became a hit. Prince eventually received a Grammy for the song in 1985, thanks to Khan. Her version is augmented by rapping from Melle Mel and Stevie Wonder's trademark harmonica, and still sounds great although the synths are very typical of the era and may sound a bit dated to some.
