Cherry Poppin' Daddies - Zoot Suit Riot

At the end of the 1990's a swing revival took place, mainly in the USA, where bands like Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and also for a time, Brian Setzer, were among the most important acts. Cherry Poppin' Daddies released a compilation album called Zoot Suit Riot in 1997, and the specially written title track is often credited as being the generator for the whole revival thing. "Zoot Suit Riot" is hysterically good, a jump swing number that makes it impossible to sit still upon hearing it. If this doesn't get a party going, nothing will.
