Normally I'm not a big fan of power ballads, but occasionally I make an exception, as in the case of Foreigner's "I Want To Know What Love Is" or Bryan Adams' "Heaven". "Country" trio Lady Antebellum's lead single "Just A Kiss" off third album Own The Night released last autumn is another one. Having become a huge hit these last few months, it's quietly snuck up on me and upon hearing it on the radio this morning I found that I actually love it. Strange, but there you go. It's a good song, very cleverly constructed. Although I can't explain it in technical terms, I'm not very surprised it's a hit.
