UB40 featuring Chrissie Hynde - I Got You Babe

Sonny & Cher's 1965 hit "I Got You Babe" is pretty much faultless, but despite that I like UB40's 1985 cover version even better. The band enlisted Pretenders singer Chrissie Hynde as Ali Campbell's duet partner, and the sweet laidback reggae rhythms works perfectly and sets it apart from the pop original. This is in all ways a marriage made in heaven.
