Jimmy Webb is one of the world's best songwriters, and Glen Campbell was for many years his singer of choice. Their partnership resulted in several unforgettable recordings and big hits, among them "Wichita Lineman", "Galveston", "Where's The Playground, Susie?" and most notably the absolutely incredible "By The Time I Get To Phoenix", maybe the greatest song about leaving your partner that has ever been written. Johnny Rivers was actually the first artist to record it, in 1965, but Glen Campbell made the famous hit version in 1967.
