Anne Pigalle is a French singer and multimedia artist who moved to London in the early 80's, where she recorded an album for Trevor Horn and Paul Morley's fabled ZTT label (home of Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Propaganda and others) in 1985 called Everything Could Be So Perfect. The album's single was the cabaret-ish "Hé! Stranger", sounding like something written by Berthold Brecht. The accompanying music video tells the story of a woman who's tricked into performing in a sex club, enchanting a group of beer-guzzling hooligans with song. Very dramatic indeed, and pretty stupid. Still, the song is fantastic, and here the drama works.
