Associates - Those First Impressions

People didn't like it one bit when Billy Mackenzie released the album Perhaps on his own in 1985, without former partner and fellow Dundee boy Alan Rankine. In effect a Mackenzie solo album it did differ quite a bit from the previous two studio albums and one singles compilation they released as a duo. Nevertheless, it's not a bad album, and the singles were pretty amazing. "Those First Impressions" was the first of them, released a year prior to the album. It's a great pop song, and that voice? Oh my God, it's beautiful!
