The Trammps - Disco Inferno

This 1976 number by The Trammps is as disco as disco ever got - and then some. True to its title, "Disco Inferno" is just what it says it is, an inferno of all the tricks in the disco handbook. It was included on the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack the following year, and that's when it became a hit. What's important to recognize when you hear a song like this, is the fact that every note is played by real musicians. Today dance music is very often made by a clever producer using all the tools a computer can provide. I'm not saying that's without merit, it's just different. The way real instruments move you just can't compare, and "Disco Inferno" is the best possible example.

PS! You get both the single edit at 3:44 with the accompanying video and the full 10:51 version which of course is the best. Dance your socks off!
