Rolling Stone reports that Rufus Wainwright has entered a New York studio and started recording what he wants to be a poppy, danceable album. The artist has been working on an opera, Prima Donna, and a dark piano cycle, All Days Are Nights, for the last few years and are looking to do some lighter material. Ronson (Amy Winehouse, Duran Duran, Adele, Lily Allen and more) as producer sounds like an interesting choice, so this could be good. Full story and interview with Rufus here.
