Vanessa Paradis - Marilyn & Joe

Released when she was only 15 years old, French singer Vanessa Paradis' 1988 debut album M&J was not taken all too seriously. It's got a few good songs though. Her breakthrough hit "Joe Le Taxi" is one, "Marilyn & John" another and it's also far superior. It's a tribute to Marilyn Monroe and John F. Kennedy and has got a wonderful, melancholy melody.
