And once again it's time for a Prefab Sprout classic. "Dublin" is a beautiful song about how the IRA use history and mythology to support its violent means, a soft-spoken ballad that is also a tribute to the titular Irish capital. It was featured on the album Protest Songs, a 1985 recording that was not released until 1989. It's not their best album by a long shot, but it has definitely got its moments, "Dublin" being among the finest. It's just Paddy McAloon and an acoustic guitar and they are fine companions, believe me.
