Imelda May - Johnny Got A Boom Boom

The fact that Irish singer/songwriter Imelda May is not an international superstar is sadly due to the lack of interest in raucous rockabilly these days. Imelda Mary Clabby (you sort of "get" her professional name) takes her cue from the greats, such as Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran or The Stray Cats for that matter, throwing herself into the music with a backing band that really knows how to make things shake. "Johnny Got A Boom Boom" was the lead single off her second album, 2008's Love Tattoo, and is absolutely fantastic.
