Erik's musical Advent calendar: Pet Shop Boys - It Doesn't Often Snow At Christmas

In 1997 Pet Shop Boys recorded a Christmas single for their fan club that was otherwise unavailable. Luckily, in 2009 they released a re-recorded version of "It Doesn't Often Snow At Christmas", this most Hi-NRG of Christmas songs. In typical Pet Shop Boys fashion it's a serious song wrapped in a super catchy pop arrangement, the kind of duality the duo is famous for. This is definitely one of my favourite "modern" Christmas songs, here in window number 9 of Erik's musical Advent calendar.
