Well, it's the end of the year and time to sum up 2011 in music. As usual, it's not easy, but among the new albums released this year I was never in doubt. The price for best album of 2011 goes to the one and only, truly wonderful Kate Bush who's incredibly enough released not one, but two new albums this year. It should be noted that the first of these, Director's Cut, contains reworked versions of songs from two previous albums, but it was still very good. As for her brand new album 50 Words For Snow, it's one of her very best albums ever.
So here are the best 25 albums of 2011, ranked pretty much according to whim. They're all very good, so I hope you'll either pick some of them up yourself, or if not, listen to them in WiMP or Spotify or another streaming service.
1. Kate Bush – 50 Words For Snow

And so, on to the more interesting category simply titled songs. Singles are pretty much a thing of the past, so although many of these have been hits, there are still a few album tracks among them. Or maybe not. Anyway, this list was much tougher to compile, so in addition to my 25 favourite songs of 2011, topped without a shadow of a doubt by Jessie J's super catchy "Price Tag", I have added a further ten amazing songs in a "bubbling under" list.
