Happy 41st birthday to Yann Tiersen, composer of the soundtrack to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's incredible film Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain (2001). Tiersen's music is an integral part of the film in such a sense that it's impossible to imagine the pictures without the music. It's not always that way.
