Eddie Floyd - Knock On Wood

Happy birthday to legendary soul man Eddie Floyd who turns 74 today. He was of course part of the Stax family, writing scores of hits both for himself and fellow Stax artists like Carla Thomas, Sam & Dave, Rufus Thomas and Johnnie Taylor. And his own "Knock On Wood", originally intended for Otis Redding, is his biggest hit and most well-known song by far. It was released in 1966, and here's a clip from the following year in the UK.
