Last night I visited my good friend Tore and we played this killer version of Carl Perkins' 1956 classic "Matchbox" numerous times - loud. Perkins himself, Duane Eddy's wonderful twangy guitar, the steady beat of the Mavericks and singer Raul Malo trading verses with Perkins is a dynamite combination. This gets everything moving, and is an excellent way to start the weekend! It was recorded in 1994 for the Red Hot + Country benefit album.
