Yes! Jimmy Webb's song "P.F. Sloan" about the reclusive singer/songwriter of "Eve Of Destruction" fame is one of my all time favourite pop songs. It's also been covered by California pop group The Association in 1971 in a truly fantastic version, and now it's the lead single off Rumer's forthcoming album Boys Don't Cry where she pays tribute to a host of male songwriters, mostly with songs from the 1970's. It's become a great recording in which a golden-voiced singer/songwriter pays homage to a great song, about another great singer/songwriter, written by yet another great singer/songwriter. Confusing? Never mind. Just listen to the song and fall in love with it!
