This great track from British trip-hop/electronica outfit Massive Attack is 20 years old already, lifted from the band's debut album Blue Lines, released in 1991. It's a very atmospheric piece of urban music, sung by Shara Nelson to an accompaniment of light, melodic, almost jazzy-sounding synths and a laidback trip-hop beat. The video shows Nelson strolling through a decayed inner city landscape, with the band members slowly gathering in her wake whilst a sort of controlled chaos is everywhere, along with rundown buildings, boarded-up shops and graffiti-stained walls. It's a bit sad, a bit beautiful, and a very fine song.
