Genesis - Mama

Not the most conventional of hit singles, "Mama" nevertheless became Genesis' biggest hit to date when it was released in 1983. It's basically about a young man's obsession with a prostitute, set to a heavy drum machine and a minimalistic synthesizer theme with some heavy guitar riffing thrown in. Not to mention Phil Collins' maniacal laugh, that was inspired by the Grandmaster Flash song "The Message". "Mama" is a fabulous song, one of Genesis' very best.
