The Byrds - Chestnut Mare

This song was written by The Byrds' guitarist and singer Roger McGuinn and songwriter, director and psychologist Jacques Levy, for a country rock musical that never happened called Gene Tryp. The song instead ended up on The Byrds' ninth album (Untitled) and also as a single. It's a wonderful epic country rock number, a true classic in fact.
