Propaganda - Dr. Mabuse

Director Fritz Lang made three movies (in 1922, 1933 and 1960) based upon the character Dr. Mabuse from a novel by Norbert Jacques. It was the perfect character for German experimental synthpop group Propaganda to wake to new life for their debut single in 1984 on Trevor Horn and Paul Morley's wonderful Zang Tumb Tuum label where creativity seemingly without bounds were the cornerstone. The video is a mish-mash of old Lang clips and new footage featuring the band, very atmospheric and a great visual companion for the song.
