Vancouver Sleep Clinic is the moniker of Tim Bettinson, a 17 year old singer/songwriter from Brisbane, Australia who gives James Blake a serious run for his money. With a similarly haunting falsetto voice, Bettinson has just released his debut EP, Winter, an astonishing collection of six songs that are so beautiful it's almost painful. As is the case with Blake, James Vincent McMorrow and others, the music of Vancouver Sleep Clinic is soulful, electronic, a bit minimalist and decidedly atmospheric. The songs "Collapse" and "Vapour" were both released as stand-alone digital singles and are of course present on the Winter EP.
