Black, the British singer/songwriter whose real name is Colin Vearncombe, had a big hit with "Wonderful Life" off his eponymous 1987 album. The follow-up album, 1988's Comedy, didn't spawn any hit singles, but I think the introspective "I Can Laugh About It Now" is as good a song as "Wonderful Life" - or better - that had deserved more listeners. Hope you like it!
