One of Steely Dan's best songs is actually the first song they released, i.e. the first track off their debut album, Can't Buy A Thrill (1972) called "Do It Again". There's something about the softness, the mellowness or maybe the inherent laziness of the song, that just gets me. As I was only six when it was originally released I heard it the first when featured on the soundtrack to the largely forgotten film FM in 1978. My life was never the same. This is pure musical beauty!
