The Blue Nile - Tinseltown In The Rain

"Do I love you? Yes, I love you!" exclaims a young Paul Buchanan of Glaswegian band The Blue Nile on this wonderful, wonderful track from their 1984 debut album, A Walk Across The Rooftops. This was actually recorded to promote and demonstrate the abilities of Linn Hi-Fi's stereo equipment, and sounds awesome sonically as well as musically. Andrea Corr is about to release a great version on her forthcoming covers album Lifelines, but the original stands smack dab in the middle of the Pantheon of Timeless Pop Songs.
