On April 13th it's exactly 40 years since David Bowie released Aladdin Sane, the album of his which has THE most iconic cover shot, featuring Bowie as an extension of his Ziggy Stardust character with the added characteristic red and blue flash across his face."Lady Grinning Soul" is the final track on the album and possibly the most memorable with its faux James Bond theme melody and Mike Garson's impressive (and romantic sounding) piano trills. Let's not forget the Mick Ronson guitar solo towards the end either, it adds yet another dimension to the song - which is in every way a masterpiece.
