Steely Dan - Cousin Dupree

Let's hear it for Steely Dan, the utmost perfictionists in the music business - or just about. They're up there with the best - or worst - of them, but the thing that separates Donald Fagen and Walter Becker from many, is the evident quality of the songwriting. Not only does every single song, every note they release, sound outstanding, more often than not the songs are stunning as well, musically as well as lyrically. "Cousin Dupree" is the first single from their 2000 comeback album Two Against Nature, their first Steely Dan album since 1980's Goucho, and in every way now a classic song in the boys' repertoire. A funny story about a creepy cousin who fancies his younger niece.
