Jason & The Scorchers - Absolutely Sweet Marie

Jason & The Scorchers' ehhh... scorching version of Bob Dylan's "Absolutely Sweet Marie" gained the band a lot of well-deserved attention when it appeared on the EP Fervor in 1983. Jason Ringenberg's hillbilly growl attacked the song along with Warner Hodges' gut-wrenching guitar and transformed it from a great, almost pretty dylanesque original (off Blonde On Blonde, 1966), into a wild, raging beast of a song.
